This book was written because of a request from younger people who originated in the Hutton Valley, Missouri area. They knew that I had been gathering this information for years and wanted me to record it before it was lost in the annals of time. I am constantly getting requests for information about the area, or for genealogy pertaining to a certain family. In writing the information for genealogy pertaining t write just about the Hutton Valley history without including the adjoining areas. So I have tried to give a synopsis of the more important happenings in most of this Ozark region.
